What We Love About the Area
While Kingsley House offers peaceful countryside seclusion, you're never far from exciting things to do, see, eat, or explore. Right on our doorstep is the South Downs National Park, with endless walking trails, local vineyards, and charming country pubs. Historic towns like Arundel, Farnham, and Guildford, with spectacular castles and vibrant shopping, are nearby. For food and drink lovers, Silent Pool Gin Distillery offers award-winning tours, and Goodwood is famous for its horse racing and motorsport events. Haslemere, with its boutique shops and cafés, and Petworth, known for antiques and art, are delightful nearby towns. Kingsley House is a few minutes from Haslemere with good access to independent shops, cafés and walking routes.

Set within 2.5 acres of secluded grounds in the South Downs National Park, Kingsley House is a haven of beautiful rooms and discreet service. Here, you can switch off completely, knowing that Haslemere station is only a four-minute drive away, offering direct trains to London. The house itself, built in 1906, has been lovingly reimagined and renovated to the highest standards, ready to welcome guests once more.

​Kingsley House is well placed for exploring Surrey and West Sussex. We are close to the South Downs, Midhurst, Chichester and Goodwood Racecourse, so the house works just as well for walkers and wine lovers as it does for those attending Goodwood events. Many guests book us as a B&B near Goodwood because it's an easy and comfortable base.
