Welcome to Kingsley House. Our home is a relaxed, stylish place to stay in the Surrey countryside, with the comfort of a small boutique B&B and the feeling of staying with friends. We have restored the house with care. Every space feels calm and inviting.

Each room and suite at Kingsley House has its own look and personality. Our four rooms have colour, warmth and character. En-suite bathrooms sparkle with marble and soft lighting that turns on automatically. The King-size beds come with a pillow menu, pillow and duvet protectors and crisp sheets. Everything is designed to make you feel comfortable, pampered and rested. We do not have any twin-bedded rooms but can offer an additional room for a third person.

 

You’ll sleep like a baby in fluffy duvets with Egyptian cotton bed linen and wake to quiet garden views. Marble bathrooms feel fresh and modern with generous showers, heated towel rails with plenty of towels, flannels and good British products. You’ll also have a smart TV with Netflix and Prime Video, plus fast Wi-Fi throughout the house.

Some rooms lead straight out onto the roof terrace, a lovely spot for breakfast or an early coffee as the sun comes up. Others look across the gardens and feel peaceful at any time of day. It's an easy place to switch off and settle in.

Kingsley House is available exclusively: all four rooms/suites, up to eight guests, the house entirely yours.

£1,155 per night.

 

Your stay includes Afternoon Tea with cake on arrival and a delicious, hearty breakfast each morning. The full English comes with black pudding Craig brings back from Scotland. The coffee is Brazilian. Sourdough, yoghurt, fruit. It's not a complicated breakfast. It's just a very good one and the last thing you'll remember when you leave.

​

No other guests. No shared spaces. The drawing room, the terrace, the library landing with the whisky decanter: all of it is yours. The rooms and suites have marble bathrooms, pillow menus, duvet protectors, 100 Acres products, turndown service and fresh flowers. Hudson the Great Dane (David Bow-Wowie on Rivals) lives here too.

Exclusive hire at Kingsley House works well for wedding parties who want the night before or after a ceremony to feel like something rather than simply somewhere to sleep. For a milestone birthday where the house and experience itself is the gift. For a small group who want to be properly away rather than just out of the office.

​

Haslemere is fifty minutes from Waterloo. Goodwood is thirty minutes south. Chichester Festival Theatre is forty-five minutes. The Surrey Hills are outside the front door with some of the best English vineyards, along with Silent Pool Gin distillery.

​

Fully licensed, with dinner by arrangement. No minimum beyond one night.

Mornings at Kingsley House are unhurried, although we're just as happy to serve you early if you have plans. Breakfast is cooked to order and uses seasonal produce from local farms and small suppliers. Expect proper favourites (Craig brings the black pudding direct from his home in Edinburgh) as well as lighter choices, all prepared by us with care. Duncan will bring freshly brewed coffee and tea to your room in the morning at a time to suit you and breakfast is served in the dining room when you're ready.

​

Kingsley House is the perfect choice for time together, a quiet weekend on your own, or a short break in the Surrey countryside. We give you space to relax and recharge. It's a comfortable, welcoming base for enjoying this corner of Surrey and the South Downs.
