Some people think Kingsley Bespoke is a little excessive until they actually need it!

A guest arrived yesterday from central London and had requested an early check-in at 2.30 pm. On arrival, he explained that he was attending a local party and did not expect it to finish until around 4.30 am. He asked how he would get back into the property at that time and whether he could be given a key to the front door and access to the driveway gates.

I explained our Kingsley Bespoke service and why we offer it. He was reluctant for me to stay up until 4.30 am, particularly as he did not know exactly when he would be returning. I explained that the service is not only about convenience, but also about the security of the House, the comfort of our other guests, and ensuring that help is available should a guest need it.

I encouraged him to agree on a collection time so that a taxi could be pre-booked, explaining that Uber is simply not available in this area at those times and that there are no 24-hour local taxi services without advance booking. He assured me that friends would collect him from the party and bring him back to Kingsley House. Off he went for the evening.

Midway through the night, I messaged him to remind him that if he needed a taxi, he should let me know as soon as possible so I could arrange one. He replied that everything was fine and that he would let me know when he was on his way back.

At 3.30 am, however, he messaged to ask whether I had the telephone number of a local taxi company. Because Kingsley Bespoke was in place, I could respond immediately. Realising that finding transport at that hour would be impossible, I collected him myself and brought him safely back to Kingsley House. We finally returned just after 4.00 am.

Had Kingsley Bespoke not been in place, his only realistic option would have been to walk for over an hour along dark country roads with no pavements. Even if he had managed to navigate his way back, he would not have arrived until well after 5.00 am.

When we got back, he told me that Kingsley Bespoke was priceless and exactly the kind of service he never thought he would need, until he did.

3 hours of sleep; tea tray service started at 8.30 am for our other guests……………………………………..YAWN!
